Saying the Right Things Can Naturally Change Your Life

Saying the Right Things Can Naturally Change Your Life

How is it that saying the right things can naturally change your life?

If I’m really honest with myself, I often go to others to help solidify an emotion I’m experiencing. For example, when I’m angry, I go find someone else to join in my frustration. Sad? Offended? My tendency is to go find someone to help justify why I’m feeling that way. (That thing that I don’t want to do, that I do… Paul said something similar in Romans 7:13-20). It’s not a great idea to find misery, but it is a natural tendency. You can change that tendency by teaching yourself to say the right things.

We need to encourage each other into saying the right things but its hard to receive the encouragement when it is telling us to NOT be negative. In fact, in the process of processing these emotions (a negative confession) can magnify the problem instead of the solution for that emotion..if that makes sense.

Recently I wrote an enewsletter that helped me focus more on what God says about me that what the world says. Interestingly enough, when I stopped focusing on my emotions for a few moments and forced myself to speak out what I’m reading in the Bible, something changed. Suddenly, when I focus on what God says about me, it doesn’t seem to matter what the world says or what the culture around me is screaming. At the end of the day, it is the Bible that wins and is truth. The side we choose in the spiritual realm will ultimately take over.

Why and how do I focus on saying the right things?

That thing that you say, goes out of your mouth and back into your ears! Good or bad, it becomes your truth when you speak it. What is it based on? What is the best assessment to make about yourself? Instead of getting information from personality tests, horoscopes or even family and friends, let’s do God-confidence tests or try to be like Jesus. Jesus is introvert, extrovert, genius, amazing, successful, cool, incredible, confident, strong and any other adjective you are looking to acquire from taking any assessment. It is in this way of thinking that you start to depend on what God says about you instead of what people say about you or to you.

Start here:

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)

I’m created in His image. (Genesis 1:27-29)

Jesus died so that I might live and He’ll take care of me. (Romans 14:8)

I can do all things through Him that created me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

I’ll not come under the power of anyone but God, as I am thankful for what he has done for me. (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Old things have passed away, behold, all things are new in my life when I choose Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I’ve died and have been raised with Christ and am now seated in heavenly places. (Ephesians 2:5-6)

I am dead to sin and alive unto righteousness. (Romans 6:11)

The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me!  (Romans 8:11)

I’ma child of God. (Romans 8:16)

No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper, but every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I shall show to be in the wrong. (Isaiah 54:17)

I prosper in everything I put my hand to. I have prosperity in all areas of my life–spiritually, financially, mentally, and socially. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I’m healthy and can help other people be healthy. (Mark 16:18)

Conclusion

People may be coming to this website to find ways to physically live, eat or grow naturally. Although this blog may not seem to fit these categories, the opposite is actually true. The deep inside of us will eventually come out. The truth is if we want to change the outcome of our diet, attitude or spiritual condition of ourselves/country, we have to dig deep. Digging deep is seeing God’s best for us. Examining ourselves and what we meditate on is a great first step.
