How to Get Rid of Mice
How to Get Rid of Mice
Like many of you, it can be difficult to figure out how to get rid of mice and not have it affect any other wildlife. In my world, it seems as though mice not only like to burrow around in woodsheds and chicken coops, but also garages and greenhouses. Even though wildlife tend to feed on mice, it seems mice multiply faster when we let them do what they want.
Mice have been known to carry diseases along with just being a nuisance. This website goes into more detail.
This “recipe” I want to show you will not necessarily wipe out any mice that steps foot in your yard, but, it could be the next best thing to having a cat! The ingredients seem to come together to attract mice and then will experience a type of explosion that happens inside the mouse’s stomach or intestines (sorry mice lovers). These ingredients will not affect the hawks or other animals that eat mice. A friend of mine did see an actual “exploded” mole which he believes could be the result of this recipe. I didn’t show the image, however, if you’d like to see it, feel free to email me (lifeinthegreenhouse@proton.me)!
1. Gather the Ingredients
(Ratio 1:1)
1 cup of cornmeal (inexpensive cake mix from here)
1 cup of baking soda
2. Mix and Place Strategically
Mix or shake in a small plastic container. After thoroughly mixing, cut a small hole on the side of the container. Place the mixture/container in a corner or edge of a room or area that mice like to travel. Easy, right? And, the best part is that you do not have to worry about chemicals or killing other animals.
Dueteronomy 28:11
And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
