Best Ranch Dressing without Dairy
Best Ranch Dressing without Dairy
You might want to try this homemade Ranch Dressing, gluten free and without dairy, just once! Traditional Ranch dressings tend to have too many artificial ingredients and are more shelf-stable than they are tasty. Salads always taste better with homemade dressing!
Substitutions for Dairy Free Best Ranch Dressing
Chances are, you are looking at dairy free for a reason. There are additional substitutions you can make with this, such as using all pumpkins seeds instead of half. Sometimes pine nuts can be a bit pricey. However, I’d say that its the pine nuts that give this dressing the distinct, almost ranch flavor. Pumpkin seeds, do have a ton of nutritional value, so you really can’t go wrong either way.
Another consideration for your best ranch dressing without dairy is your sweetener. I love to use dates as a sweetener, as it tastes cleaner and less sugary. You may use maple syrup, agave or monk fruit to get a similar taste. Sweeteners such as stevia, may not be as pleasing to the palette. If you’d like to see a blog that talks more about the taste of different sweeteners, maybe comment below or email.
Let’s take a look the essential oil component. In this recipe, 3 drops of lemon essential oil was good for me. Obviously, you can increase or decrease as you need to, just know that essential oil are much more concentrated than the juice of a half of lemon. That’s what I would recommend if using fresh lemon.
In addition to using this best ranch recipe for a salad dressing, you can enjoy it as a dip with vegetables! It is delicious, versatile, customizable and easy. Who isn’t a huge fan of an easy recipe? Above all, eat clean and be thankful!
